Lotus Xinagang opened its new store in Hongkou District close to Heping Park, Shanghai on July 10, 2008. The 10,000 square meter store is acknowledged as the first ever ‘custom-built’ store for the community as Lotus has been working closely with the government of Hongkou area to provide the best service to its customers and its surrounding environment.

 The new Lotus Xinagang store offers increased fresh and dry food areas which accounts for 56% of the total operation area as well as tailor-made store schematics to provide additional convenience to meet customer needs. The Lotus Xinagang store has also introduced ‘Chia Tai Life Style Stores’ that provide branded shops and diverse restaurants to the Hongkou area community.

Lotus Super Center is a subsidiary of CP Group, engaged in large-scale modern retailing.  In China, the first store of Lotus Super Center was opened in Pudong New Area, Shanghai on June 23 1997. After 10 years of development, Lotus Super Center is now servicing a wide population of Chinese consumers through its rapid expansion. Lotus Super Center operates a chain of retail superstores with a wide range of quality merchandise including fresh food, groceries, wine, apparel, electronics, imported products, etc. Lotus has always insisted on the philosophy of providing customers with a convenient shopping environment and friendly services.

 Lotus has currently transitioned into a new name, “Pu Feng Lotus”, and recently, there are only the Middle Yanggao Rode store and the new store use the new name. The company isplanning to renovate Shanghai store leasing area along with the development of “Chia Tai Life Store”. This development model has proved to be a success at the ‘Middle Yanggao Road’ store and ‘Tianshan’ store. The company’s signage transformation plan will be launched together with the renovation in 2 years.
